The Common Room Detroit (TCR) is a creative hub built to remove the barriers that keep Detroit artists from creating. No workspace? No equipment? No mentor to point you in the right direction? That's exactly what we're here to fix.
We're a collective of Detroit creatives — musicians, photographers, videographers, designers, and makers of every kind — building a space where talent matters more than access to money or connections. Through events, workshops, mentorship, and (soon) a permanent physical hub, we're working to make creative expression accessible to everyone in this city, regardless of background or budget.
This isn't a top-down organization. It's a collaborative effort, built by the artists it serves.
